A common anti-socialist tactic is using blatant slander. Most of us have seen the , mostly American , conservatives who claim that Hitler was a left-wing socialist. This historically revisionist lie has even started getting used by European conservatives in my experience, especially since the Internet has made it easier for them to exchange ideas and tactics in order to slander socialists.

Myth number 1: Hitler said that the National Socialists are enemies of the capitalist system.

Truth: That is a quote falsely attributed to Adolf Hitler. It was in fact one of the Strassers who originally said it. The Strassers were the more "left-wing" of the National Socialist party but they were later purged.

Myth number 2: Hitler enforced socialist policies

Truth: The Nazi regime privatized a lot of industries and the private companies had a lot of freedom even when it came to war-related projects

It has nothing to do with small government and everything to do with conservatism and embracing hierarchy as something inevitable or desirable. ( 1 ) The left-wing on the other hand refers to those who support progressivism for the sake of social equality and egalitarianism ( 2 )

Truth: Lets ignore the fact that being pro or anti-gun has nothing to do with whether someone is left or right-wing in any place except maybe the US, the truth is that Hitler did not in fact ban the guns. ( 1 , 2 )

Truth: Hitler hated Marxism and persecuted communists as well as anarchists.

Personally, I think that Theresa May will go after Brexit and before the next election
Conservatives will have a new leader, untarnished by the ups and downs of this Brexit fiasco (I voted remain btw)
