She's craftily used implication to deflect away from the really serious issue whilst wriggling like the maggot she is.

May's 2014 Immigration Act (the Law Society raised concern over it when introduced) possibly contravenes the 1948 British Nationality Act, the latter which clearly states the following in the opening section;

British nationality by virtue of citizenship

(1)Every person who under this Act is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies or who under any enactment for the time being in force in any country mentioned in subsection (3) of this section is a citizen of that country shall by virtue of that citizenship have the status of a British subject.

You see, I do not discount that the Tories are also to blame, but this did start under labour

So Labour have no grounds to say anything and are thus also responsible

Seems fair to me, that they both answer for this.

Oh dear, someone hasn't read the facts....

First of all, the statement she made is being hotly disputed, with points of order raised in the Commons as it emerges that these cards were probably destroyed in late 2010 under a Tory government.

And even being generous and saying that she was unaware of that, so lied unintentionally, she certainly knew that the decision was an OPERATIONAL ONE which no minister would be aware of. Despite this she still blamed Labour ? Either way, the woman was lying.

Never, ever trust a Tory.

Well considering I am not a Tory and I blame both and you as usual, get on your knee's to worship your Deity Corbyn

I find it hilarious how Corbynista's are so desperate yet again

You prove one thing that is important, that its proving why Labour will be unlectable under Corbyn in a general election. As they are turning people againts each other. As the BNP, UKIP and EDL have tried. That places you in the same hate filled category

Change is coming, and we won't need faux anti-Semite rage or endless smears to win.

The sheer incompetence, lies, corruption and the Brexit omnishambles of the Tories will see to that.

But thanks for your concern.

UK removed legal protection for Windrush immigrants in 2014

The government quietly removed a key protection from the statute books for some British residents of the Windrush generation who could face deportation, the Guardian has learned.

The Home Office said the clause was not included in the 2014 Immigration Act because adequate protections were already in place for people who were initially granted temporary rights to remain in the UK and have stayed for decades.

The Labour party, lawyers and charities are urging the government to reinstate the clause to ensure all longstanding Commonwealth residents are protected from enforced removal, not just those who have gained “settled” status.

The Guardian has revealed many cases of Commonwealth citizens who have lived, worked and paid taxes in the UK for decades but have recently been threatened with removal. They have struggled to provide the paperwork required by the Home Office to prove they have the legal right to remain in the UK.

Diplomats from 12 Caribbean countries have called on the Home Office to resolve the situation.

The onus is on individuals to prove they were resident in the UK before 1 January 1973, the date the 1971 Immigration Act came into force. However, a key clause from 1999 legislation, which had provided longstanding Commonwealth residents with protection from enforced removal, was deleted from the 2014 Immigration Act. The government did not announce the removal of this clause, nor did it consult on the potential ramifications.

They were, and Dawn Butler MP raised it through a point of order with the Speaker

May was engaging in deflection in the hope of taking heat off the really serious matter...the forced detentions pending deportation, loss of incomes/work, loss of access to NHS treatment, loss of rights to benefits, loss of British citizenship. All enabled by May's despicable 2014 Immigration Act. I fail to see how any decent human being can support such actions of utter evil.

This despicable travesty of justice has also just gone from bad to worse.

58 year old Dexter Bristol who came to the UK from Grenada with his parents as an 8 year old boy was found dead in his flat three weeks ago. Cause of death is still to be determined.

Because he didn’t have the right documentation, he had lost his job and warned he could be deported. Due to his 'non-status' he had no entitlement to benefits. Dexter had spent more than a year trying to prove his right to live in the UK.

His mother had worked as a nurse in the NHS for 40 years.

Reading today about a Windrush citizen forced to miss his mother's funeral after being banned from coming home.

He ran into trouble after travelling to Jamaica to be with his dying mother last year.

When he tried to return to the UK in June, he said, he was not allowed on the flight.

His mum's body was repatriated to Britain, but by the time he got back, he said, her funeral had already happened.

Utterly heartless bastards.
