problem with Theresa May's Tory election broadcast

Theresa May has released a campaign video as the Tory Party faces a devastating wipeout in London in next week’s local elections - and the clip has a huge, clanging, embarrassing problem.

The Prime Minister appears to be trying to claim credit for a Labour council's work.

In the video, Mrs May proudly boasts Tory councils have the lowest council tax and the best services.

Her claims are accompanied by video footage showing some beautiful, calm and clean streets and modern blocks of flats with water features and balconies.

You know, the kind of thing you get with a Tory council that Labour just can’t deliver. Right?

Unfortunately for Mrs May, among the streets she’s chosen to showcase how great Tory councils are - is a street slap bang in the middle of one of Labour’s biggest strongholds.

As she’s saying the words “…delivering the best local services whilst keeping your council tax low…”, viewers are treated to the newly built Trafalgar Place, near Elephant and Castle in London.

That puts it in Southwark, a council which has been held by Labour for 46 of the last 54 years.

Whilst I applaud Southwark Council's help in trying to save #DHFC they have fucked over really badly the residents of the Heygate estate.

As for May, I bet she was like, after being told she was going south of the river, what river? :gigglesnshit:

"They don't seem to be able to get a single thing right which is quite disturbing."

This whole comedy of errors began when two complete cretins were put in charge of May's last election campaign, imho.

Since then, this lot have stumbled from error to catastrophe, cock up after cock up. There's little wonder that people are struggling to find a single example of something they have done right - it will have drowned in a sea of incompetence.

Because of this, those trying to whip up votes for May 5th are having to resort to "Yeah, but what about Corbyn?"

And they know that tactic will fail. I almost feel sorry for them - yes, as a government we slashed the money to councils, so your bins will only be emptied fortnightly, your library is closed, your roads are falling apart and you never see a policeman.......BUT WHAT ABOUT CORBYN ???...

Interesting thing is the rise of Good and Outstanding schools also correlates with the rise in the number of Labour controlled councils, which control education :gigglesnshit:

Clearing them out of the town halls will be a start.
