The sick and disabled aren't dole scroungers you idiotic fuck. :hand:

Had they put money aside when they were able-bodied they wouldn't now be relying on hand-outs.

People on the min wage can put money aside?

What fucking planet are you on pal?

In centuries past people saved a portion of the harvest for when winter came. No minimum wage or handouts then.

Pensioners who were born before luxuries like central heating wear extra jumpers, it's not complicated.

You get more ridiculous with every post.
There are mass deaths and mass graves because of starvation and serious illness through eating mildewed crops that would normally have been thrown away.
Since then we have built modern cities with modern amenities and modern approaches to health and education.
You obviously missed out on the education.
Maybe your parents couldn't afford private but wouldn't dream of the taxpayer picking up the tab to teach you a thing or two.

You believe that's the way it should be now with only the landed gentry surviving such catastrophes because your average peasant would never in a million years be able to store enough food to get them through a famine situation.
You're a troll and will be treated as such.

We now live in a modern world.
Or some of us do but you're a typical Tory.

"In centuries past people saved a portion of the harvest for when winter came. No minimum wage or handouts then."

Yeah, we still save half of our harvest to eat in winter, and to provide next years seed.

Oh wait, we don't have a farm. Or a garden, come to that. Or anywhere to store dozens of sacks of grain.

And it's also worth mentioning that in the 1950s, when many pensioners were born, there were regularly 100,000+ excess winter deaths, cold being a major cause. Strange, as by your logic in those days an extra jumper would have been the answer.

The country is going through a difficult time as it regains its independence from the EU, everyone must play their part in its recovery. We won WW2 by sacrifice and resolve but lost the peace when we grew soft. Good will come of this, you'll see.

We have always been independent of the EU. We are a sovereign state.

Over half of UK laws were made in Europe.

Brexit will mean some sacrifices but in the long term everyone left will be better off. We voted out for our children not ourselves.
