Yeah, I’ve done the maths now.
Not many turned up to vote round here, mostly older voters.

Labour losing councils

to NOC

unlike the Tories that lost Plymouth to Labour, Labour have also increased their majority in 43 of the 45 councils they control. This was always going to be the death of UKIP and the voters went to the Tories, no surprise there, so while the tories are up 16 councillors it masks the 80 odd gains from UKIP, resulting in over 60 losses to Lab and Lib Dems, Lib Dems have also lost councillors to the Greens.

You can spin this how you like but the simple truth is, Labour should have done a lot better.

Up 1% in London polling

even with a 13% swing UKIP to Conservatives, the Tories are shedding seats

No He musnt resign. Results like this prove he must stay to lead Labour to another defeat at the next GE.

But then what would be the point of having a Labour Party that is in essence conservative?

No. He must stay to give a valid alternative.

People aren't voting for Corbyn in this election. They're voting for councillors. And with half of his own against him..

It’s ok, just the locals, turnout was lower, as usual. Labour are still a strong opposition to the nasty party. :twirl:
