The Tories on the other hand, are screwed.

A price of any coalition with the SNP would mean indyref2 if they won end of coalition so that a non starter. And until Labour start increasing votes outside of London they havent a hope in hell and they lost votes this week so dream on.

Reality check.
If that had been a general election those results would mean Corbyn would now be in Downing st.
Clever wording Az that the thinking intelligent people don't want Corbyn in power.
Bollox.
We don't want to see Labour in office till the Tories have fucked up Brexit.
Bollox.
We need this government out as soon as possible to save what's left of the NHS.
It's almost gone and another two years and it will be gone.
Once it's gone it will never be coming back because it will be impossible to raise the money to rebuild it.
The massive Tory debt means the banks will not finance Labours ideas for the continuation of the NHS.

Tories will spin this defeat as much as they can. :shake head:

Lol. We are in government. We are leaving the EU. Labour are not making gains. Remoaners are not making gains. There is no need for us to spin anything. You are continuing your strategy of telling those who do not vote for you they are thick and/or racist. Mate we are home and dry.

That's your slant on what I said, Jack - I didn't say that intelligent people don't want Corbyn in power. My view was and remains that the Tories should oversee the fuckup which is Brexit. Labour in power before then gets them off the hook and gives them time to regroup and deflect the blame - in the longer term I do not think that is the best outcome.

The UK cannot be bankrupt, it has its own sovereign currency. We've been over this before and every time the Tories have absolutely failed to dispute it.

Not quite sure why you keep posting this Gig.
We have to buy foreign currencies especially the dollar.
If we have no dollars we cannot buy oil on the world market.
If the pound becomes so appealing as to no one wants it which seems to be rapidly approaching with Brexit then we are as good as broke.
If no one wants the pound how do you think we'll cope with no foreign reserves?

Realistically, if Greece didn't go bust, you can be pretty sure we won't.

The simple answer to strengthening the GBP at any time is raising interest rates.

The UK cannot physically go bankrupt, i.e. it cannot run out of money. We would just print more.

Just like happened in 2008, just like happened after the Brexit vote.
