This is what happens when people dumb stuff down in order to score points.

It's only a few days ago that somebody here was crowing about how it was justifiable to punish a tory councilor who suggested that the sort of authoritarianism present in conservative muslim cultures wouldn't have been out of place in nazi germany.
Her comment gets dumbed-down into "she compared muslims to nazis! Off with her head!" and she gets criticised on the basis of that dumbed-down interpretation instead of what she actually said.

Same thing seems to be happening (as far as I can see) with a lot of the stuff related to antisemitism within the Labour party.
People who're opposed to Livingstone misconstrue his comments and then use it as a stick to beat him with.

Trouble is, you can't do that shit when it suits you - against a target you don't approve of - and then complain when the same thing happens to people/groups you DO approve of.
If you don't like it, don't do it yourself, ignore it when others do it and call out ALL those who continue to do it.
