I have a question. Why couldn't the child's father pull him up?

He wasn't there. He'd left the child alone unattended in the flat.

What about the bloke that was like 2 feet away?

I thought he was the child's father. I think he was holding onto the child all this while. If he was,why not just pull him up like the climber did?

The father was out shopping. No idea where the mother was. The kid was held onto by the neighbour to stop him falling, but he couldn't lift him back up.

What staggered me was the speed with which the guy clambered up the building. He made it look effortless but obviously he's a very physically fit guy. The parents need a damn good sorting out from the authorities.

Turns out the childs mother had gone to a party and wasn't even in Paris, the father detained overnight by police and the child is now in care of social services.
