At least it won't be based on greed, social destruction and division - you know, the Tory model.
But it will be based on austerity
"After being sworn in, Sánchez announced that he would only propose measures that had considerable parliamentary support, and
reaffirmed the government's compliance with the EU deficit requirements.[36]"
You know - living within your means.
And you know for a fact that his policies will be based on austerity, do you ? (cue frantic Googling)
He says he wants to reduce the Spanish deficit - it remains to be seen who will pay the piper. Perhaps there's a clue in his pledges. A fresh look at taxation, perhaps ?
Actually, he has pledged three things only so far - to fight corruption, to hold free talks with Catalonian leaders, and to hold fresh elections.
https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Europe/ ... corruptionThe result of those elections, and the manifesto of the winning party will decide future policy. Not your ropey guesswork.
Actually I'm just going on what he said yesterday, plus some uncomfortable facts:
"After being sworn in, Sánchez announced that he would only propose measures that had considerable parliamentary support, and
reaffirmed the government's compliance with the EU deficit requirements.[36]"
"According to the European Union’s Maastricht criteria, EU member states may not have a budget deficit that exceeds three percent of their Gross Domestic Product (GDP) or a national debt that exceeds of sixty percent of the GDP."
"Debt reached 98.3% of GDP in Spain, while the prior quarter, third quarter of 2017, it was at 98.5%."
But you should write to him and tell him he's on the wrong track and he can print/borrow as much as he likes
After all, that's what you and gigabit have been telling us.
