David Davis' Brexit department said, "A significant amount of work and decision-making has gone into our no-deal plans, especially where it relates to ports, and we know that none of this would come to pass".

That would be the same David Davis who admitted the UK Government has done no impact assessments for the implications of Brexit on sectors of the British economy.

Despite having previously indicated that work had been undertaken, Mr Davis accepted in public that there is “no such systematic impact assessment”.

He is a lazy slug.

Thick as mince.

And, of course, a Tory minister.

No, they will talk about how the EUSSR visited this mess on us. It's always going to be someone else's fault in their eyes.

they had to vote us out so the nasty brown people with their medical & nursing degrees couldn't come in, you're probably right about who they'll blame when it falls apart.

The brown doctors, nurses and others who will be 'doing our jobs' will follow any trade talks with former colonies. But hey, at least they won't be speaking European

EU firms advised not to use British parts ahead of Brexit

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/news/eu ... ailsignout

The problem I see here is this government has sown so much uncertainty and confusion that European companies haven't a clue what is happening regarding Britain.
So they have to start making alternative arrangements right now.
If the deal we end up with pleases everyone (impossible) it will be to late as these firms will have sorted and sourced everything they need from elsewhere.

A dumb question but where does the insulin come from?
Is it not from Britain?

Why not, there was a day when Britain supplied the world with goods.

Times have changed.
We can't possibly out manufacture China and India.
It's not just the basic manufacturing either.
India has become a huge force to be reckoned with now as it has more science graduates than America has graduates.
Yet the Tories constantly attack and break down our education system.
Britain no longer rules the waves either.
We no longer own all the gold mines and spice supplies in the world to just take for free and build our empire.
This harking back to the past .... to what we used to be used to do used to have is a nonsense.
We could do anything we wanted in the past because we had the wealth and the sweat of the world at our disposal.
We now have to pay for stuff instead of just taking it.

There has been a lack of investment in this country for years by the investing classes.
Apart of course from empty paper get quick rich investments and foreign investments.
Investments where stuff is planted harvested stuff is mined stuff is manufactured hasn't been much of an interest to those who would be investing.
Anyone fancy investing billions in building new shipyards or opening Liverpool docks up that used to employ thousands.
Of course not these are things of the past.
This country stopped investing in the future which is a big problem but .... billions for a fast train billions to expand Heathrow now which isn't an investment in the people of this country but an investment in London.
London will be the UK.
The rest are about to suffer huge neglect as the south gears up for Brexit and its close attachment to the continent.
Billions for new missiles too which is an investment in America from what I can work out.
If European countries can no longer by our pumps and valves then we won't be investing there will we.
What should we start manufacturing guest and who should we start selling it to?
Not having a go just asking.
The elephant in the room which no one wants to talk about is automation.
It is becoming a very serious problem.

Boris has admitted that Brexit may well be a disaster !!

Deep divisions over Brexit in Theresa May’s warring cabinet were laid bare once again last night as Boris Johnson was captured in a secret recording criticising the Treasury as the “heart of remain”.

Johnson made clear his dissatisfaction with the chancellor and warned of a Brexit “meltdown” in remarks at a private dinner with Conservative donors.

A friend of Johnson said: “This was a private dinner under Chatham House rules so it is sad and very disappointing that it has been covertly recorded and distributed to the media.”

Yes, God forbid that the British public should actually be told the truth by this bunch of idiots.
