EDL started in Luton where blacks and whites generally get on well but neither get on well with the Asian Muslim population due to their general insular nature and often aggressive attitude to towards non-Muslims.

It's also an Islamist hotspot where people raised funds for the Taliban in the town centre and abused returning British troops and burned poppies.

Has the EDL achieved anything (apart from providing young Tommy with fame and income)?

Don't know, I just assumed they were another convenient bogeyman for the left and therefore blown up in importance by them.
