That tells us all we need to know about the utterly ruthless dogma being pursued by elements of Maybot's cabinet.

They literally don't give a fuck about the prosperity of the country, and certainly not the ordinary man in the street.

They have their own agenda, personal profit, and it appears that they are happy to throw us under a bus to achieve it.

It shows a chilling ignorance of the importance of business to the ongoing success and stability of the UK, that's for sure.

The murky kremlinology of the Tories is fascinating at the moment, if I had to bet it would be Javid.
A rapid rise without trace just like Major.

I doubt whether he would appeal to the Tory grass roots, and they are courting the far right vote at the moment.

Then you just attract companies with low corporation tax, like Ireland did before the EU stopped them.

Low corporation tax doesn't compensate for high tariffs.

And whoring yourself around the world by offering low corporation tax just makes you more enemies.

It is simply an unsustainable policy to base your economy on an advantage of low taxes which at any moment could be matched or beaten elsewhere.

It has been shown that in reality, Ireland collects less than 1% tax from multinationals (a report showed 13 of the top 100 companies in Ireland had an effective rate of less than 1% in 2015), and that very few jobs are produced. None of which are home grown and, more importantly, sustainable.

By the way, do you have a link to show the EU stopped Ireland from offering low Corporation Tax rates ?
