ARMY UNCOVERS LOADS OF U.S. AND ISRAELI SUPPLIED WEAPONS AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN SOUTHERN SYRIA

On December 6, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) discovered loads of weapons and ammunition during search operations in the governorate of al-Quneitra and the region of Western Ghouta, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

In a related development, the reconciliation committees in al-Quneitra handed over Israeli medical equipment and supplies to the SAA. Most of these equipment were supplied to the White Helmets organization during the last few years.

The SAA is uncovering similar equipment and weapons caches on a regular basis. A day earlier, the army uncovered a large-amount of US-supplies weapons and ammunition around the city of al-Quneitra and the crossing of Nasib on the border with Jordan.

These weapons were left behind by radical militants, who withdraw from southern Syria few months ago. The militants likely planned to use the weapons to carry out terrorist attacks in the near future.

Raven will be along soon to condemn them for supporting terrorists in Syria...

US-LED COALITION DESTROYS HAJIN’S HOSPITAL AMID SDF ADVANCE

At the late hours of December 7, US-led coalition warplanes carried out intense airstrikes on the main hospital in the ISIS-held town of Hajin in the middle Euphrates River Valley, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). The number of casualties is yet to be known.

“US-led coalition warplanes targeted the hospital of Hajin in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which resulted in the complete destruction of the hospital,” local sources to the SANA.

Earlier, the ISIS-linked news agency, Amaq, reported that US-led coalition warplanes conducted more than 100 airstrikes on residential areas within Hajin. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), eleven civilians were killed in the airstrikes.

Given the days of coverage for "the last Hospital in Aleppo" how come this isn't dominating the news? :dunno:

Oh and 11 civilians killed when a Hospital and surrounding area is flattened...when it's the US doing it...

Usual US way, bomb the infrastructure and civilians in order to take control of/destabilise the region. See Yemen, Libya, Iraq for further examples. :shake head:

Senior Israeli Lawmaker Calls for Killing All Palestinians, “Because they are just Nazis Anyhow”

Chair of the Defence Committee at the Israeli Parliament Avi Dichter has called for killing all the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

As he was commenting on the peaceful protests of the Great March of Return taking place along the eastern fence of the Gaza Strip, he said:

“The Israeli army has enough bullets for every Palestinian.”

Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan repeatedly referred to the protesters killed in Gaza as “Nazis,” saying that there were no demonstrations, just “Nazi anger.”

He later added:

“The number [of peaceful Palestinian protesters] killed does not mean anything because they are just Nazis anyhow.”

How unsurprising yet Israel are the victim...always...

Any reports in the msm or condemnation from the west? :dunno:

ERDOGAN: TURKEY WILL LAUNCH MILITARY OPERATION AGAINST US-BACKED FORCES IN SYRIA WITHIN FEW DAYS

urkey will launch a military operation against US-backed forces in northeastern Syrian in the upcoming few days, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed during the Turkish Defense Industry Summit on December 12.

“We expressed that we will launch an operation in east of Euphrates in a few days to save it from a separatist terrorist organization,” the Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted Erdogan as saying.

The Turkish President also criticized the US-led coalition plan to build observation posts along Syria’s border with his country. At the same time, he stressed that the Turkish military will not attack U.S. service members deployed in the region during its upcoming operation.

“It is clear that the purpose of U.S. observation points [in Syria] is not to protect our country from terrorists but to protect terrorists from Turkey,” said Erdogan.

Yemen war: At least six times as many killed in conflict than previously thought, report says

he number of people killed by the violence in Yemen has for the first time risen above 3,000 dead in a single month, bringing the total number of fatalities to over 60,000 since the start of 2016. The figure is six times greater than the out-of-date figure of 10,000 dead often cited in the media and by politicians.

“We have recorded 3,068 people killed in November, bringing the total number of Yemenis who have died in the violence to 60,223 since January 2016,” says Andrea Carboni, a researcher on Yemen for the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), formerly based at Sussex University, that studies conflicts and seeks to establish the real casualty level.

The figures do not include the Yemenis who have died through starvation or malnutrition – the country is on the brink of famine, according to the UN – or from illnesses caused by the war such as cholera.

NEW RULES OF ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN SYRIA AND ISRAEL, AS RUSSIA CHANGES ITS POSITION

Syria will adopt a new rule of engagement with Israel now that Russia has taken a tougher and clearer stance on the conflict between Israel and the “Axis of the Resistance”. Henceforth, Damascus will be responding to any Israeli strike. If it damages a specific military target it will reply with a strike against a similar objective in Israel. Decision makers in Damascus said “Syria will not hesitate to hit an Israeli airport if Damascus airport is targeted and hit by Israel. This will be with the consent of the Russian military based in the Levant”.

https://southfront.org/new-rules-of-eng ... -position/

:yess:

Having not tried an attack since S300, their visit to Russia left them in no doubt that their attacks on those actually fighting terrorism will no longer be tolerated.

This week, Moscow agreed to receive an Israeli military delegation led by Major-General Aharon Haliva, following Israel’s insistence on breaking the ice between the two countries. However, Russia’s position is not expected to change in Syria and no Israeli bombing of Syrian or Iranian targets will be tolerated.

According to these sources, “Russia has informed Israel that there are Russian officers present at every Syrian or Iranian military base and that any strike against Syrian or Iranian objectives would hit Russian forces as well. Putin will not allow his soldiers and officers to be struck down by Israel’s direct or indirect bombing”.

Moreover, Russia has given Syria the green light – said the source- to strike Israel at any time if and when Tel Aviv’s planes launch raids against Syrian military targets or launch long-range missiles without flying over Syria (for fear of the S-300 and to avoid seeing its jets downed over Syria or Lebanon).

Utter rubbish.
No one has slaughtered their own more than the westerners.
Wedo industrial killing.
In the 20th century we killed each other on a scale that dwarfed the whole of history.
In fact we slaughtered more people in the twentieth century than all other centuries combined.
Talk about fucking brainwashed.

Talk about delusional? You really are losing the plot old bean.
Go and live in the middle east and see for yourself.
How many democracies are out there?
Are you denying that they have been slaughtering each other for centuries??
They seem to love slaughtering each other and if you read some history you'd discover just how wrong you are in your ill advised attempts to make the peoples there to be peace loving human beings. They thrive on conflict and have done for centuries before we ever became involved.
I cannot wait until we no longer need oil and have no need to deal with them.

when there is a democratic country Seneca (or was it Socrates?) would turn in the grave at such stupidity.

Iran

Vital Lockerbie evidence ‘was made AFTER the doomed flight crashed’: Circuit board used to convict Libyan over 1988 bombing wasn’t manufactured until 1991, documentary claims amid calls for a public inquiry

Evidence used in the trial of the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing is unconnected to the case, it has been claimed.

A circuit board used in the case against Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al-Megrahi was probably made after the atrocity, investigators say.

The claims are backed by testimony from a British expert and by tests at a police forensics lab in Zurich.

Documentary-maker Bill Cran and his lead investigator George Thomson, a former Scottish police officer, are re-examining the 1988 bombing and later court case for a forthcoming film.

Thomson, 73, was part of Megrahi’s defence team who were preparing the appeal abandoned by the Libyan agent in 2009 to secure his release on compassionate grounds.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... light.html

Was that the reason for his release, to stop the hearing going ahead and the evidence being entered in to the record?

Who did do it then? Mos...no, couldn't be, could it... :wurms:

On December 19, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced that the U.S. has started withdrawing its troops from Syria following President Donald Trump declared that ISIS has been defeated in the country.

The White House didn’t reveal any further details about the matter. However, an official told the Reuters news agency that the U.S. plans to pull its forces out of the warn-torn country once the final stages of the last operation against ISIS is complete. According to the official, the time-frame for the troop pullout is expected to be between 60 to 100 days.

The official added All U.S. State Department personnel are being evacuated from Syria within 24 hours as a first step.

That seems a very real possibility.
Russia Iran and Syria itself defeated American backed terrorists.
America have lost yet another war and don't like it.
Turning Syria to glass will seem like a real option to some people.

Don’t Hold Your Breath on US Troop Withdrawal from Syria

The announcement on Wednesday that the U.S. will withdraw all remaining troops from Syria within the next month looked at first like a rare victory for Donald Trump in his admittedly erratic opposition to senseless wars of adventure. “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there,” the president tweeted with an unmistakable air of triumph.

Don’t get your hopes up. Just about everything in these initial reports is either wrong or misleading. One, the U.S. did not defeat the Islamic State: The Syrian Arab Army, aided by Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah militias did. Two, hardly was ISIS the only reason the U.S. has maintained a presence in Syria. The intent for years was to support a coup against the Assad government in Damascus—in part by training and equipping jihadists often allied with ISIS. For at least the past six months, the U.S. military’s intent in Syria has been to counter Iranian influence.

As Trump finishes his second year in office, the pattern is plain: This president can have all the foreign policy ideas he wants, but the Pentagon, State, the intelligence apparatus, and the rest of what some call “the deep state” will either reverse, delay, or never implement any policy not to its liking.

Blocking Few Good Ideas

Syria is a case in point, but one among many. Trump announced in March that he woul>>>>>>>>>>> https://consortiumnews.com/2018/12/19/d ... rom-syria/

UN adopts resolution in favor of Syria sovereignty over occupied Golan Heights

The United Nations General Assembly has overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resolution on the permanent sovereignty of Syria over natural resources of the Israeli-occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

was adopted by a record vote of 159 in favor, 7 against and 13 abstentions in a Sunday session of the 193-member assembly.

The resolution reaffirmed the inalienable rights of the Syrians in the occupied Syrian Golan to sovereign over its natural resources, including land, water and energy. It also demands that Israeli occupation authorities stop from exploiting, damaging, depleting and endangering natural resources in the strategically-important territory.

The assembly on Sunday also called on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to submit a report during the next session on the implementation of the resolution, including issues related to the increasing impact of exploiting, damaging and depleting natural resources in the region by Israeli forces

Good news and let's hope action is taken to return the Golan heights to Syria.

Genie energy will put up a fight, as will Israel but they are in the wrong so have no grounds to complain.
