Hmm dubious. You supported the project that launched hellfire missiles into civilian areas. Tell us again your opinion on ssudi arms sales

Canny...do tell us...

I supported the project, in support of the British Army.

Politicians decide targets. If you have a problem, blame them.

FYI, the items we are procuring don't arrive until next year - so haven't launched Hellfire missiles anywhere. And if they are sold to Saudis, that will be US and Boeing's doing.

So like anti-Semitism you turn a blind eye/ignore if it benefits you.

Islamophobia and anti semitism is more rife in the ToryScum party, which goes ignored.

Wishful thinking? Is the itch too big to scratch that you feel it important to make such a claim?

Carry on with the ad-homs. They tickle me.

I am retiring to my wife's homeland - and the main reason is that she is 15 years younger than me, so when I peg it she will be well set up at home.

The fact that it costs 50% less to live there, the people and climate are ace, and I love the food, are all irrelevant, of course.

And where is that?

Oh really? Is that because broadsheets were warning Brown to save for a rainy day in 2003 and he ignored them in an economic world wide boom with so much extra cash coming in -- which he spent over budget and sold gold for the sake of profligacy?
What a warped one side sense of history you have.

Someone certainly has a warped sense of history - you.

Brown had a golden rule, do not exceed what was accepted as fair and safe spending limits - 40% of GDP. That rule was kept to, in 2003, 4, 5, 6, and 2007. Only a worldwide economic crash initiated in the USA brought that to an end.

"All that extra cash" was desperately needed to address the awful state UK infrastructure was left in 1997. Hospitals. Schools. Roads.

Finally, he sold half of gold reserves. Gold which hadn't risen in value for many years, sold for £9bn (three times that was needed to bail out Northern Rock alone). It was invested in foreign currency interest-bearing assets , 40% in dollars, 40% in euros and 20% in yen.

History, eh ?
