When Labour borrow it's to invest in the infrastructure and the people.
Police nurses teachers schools hospitals housing and so on.
When the Tories borrow it's to give money to wealthy people via tax cuts corporate welfare etc.
Everytime Labour come to power they have to bring back to life emergency services education health etc etc.
Labour invest Tories loot.

The “worst is still to come” for cash-strapped local authorities as they face further cuts of almost £1bn next year, council bosses have warned.

Residents in areas run by some of England’s largest councils will face another round of “unpalatable” cuts to services in 2019 as they are forced to make further savings to plug a £1.5bn shortfall by 2020.

In its response to a government consultation on funding for councils next year, the County Councils Network (CCN) warns its members will set out £685m in cuts next February to balance their budgets.

The Tories are sleepwalking into civil unrest.

So we need to stock up on water cannon, rubber bullets tasers and more prison places. Good call. If the wastrels are threatening disorder to get more free stuff we should crack down hard. They'll soon give up. Thats what wastrels do.

You are right - we saw them on the Countryside March (see below)

Absolute piffle, Labour always leave a mess when leaving office which needs to be tidied up and anyone inheriting their mess always has to borrow to clear up the mess.

It certainly can. Take 1997, with the NHS on its last legs. Schools falling down, teachers quitting. Roads full of holes. The nation's assets already sold off to give the well off more tax cuts. Yes, it sure cost to put right 18 years of Tory misrule.

Tories have run up debt in spite of austerity cuts while the rich have doubled their wealth

The Conservatives have been labelled con artists after running up mountains of debt in spite of austerity cuts at the same time as the rich significantly increase their wealth.

Since the recession Britain’s wealthiest have seen their net worth more than double while poverty has gripped the nation elsewhere.

Some are still in denial though. :off head:

The landslide victory when Labour found the right leader suggests otherwise.
