The Conservative Party has accidentally revealed personal details about MPs, journalists and delegates in a major security breach on its conference app, reports suggest.

The system flaw, which appears to have now been addressed, allowed users to log in as anybody attending the Tory party conference using only their email address.

Several social media users claimed they had logged in as Boris Johnson, which gave them access to the former foreign secretary's personal phone number.

Boris Johnson's profile immediately vandalised with hardcore pornography in Tory conference app security blunder

There was a massive security hole in the Tory conference app - and pranksters had fun with it


Within minutes of the vulnerability being revealed, Boris Johnson’s profile image was changed to a picture of hardcore pornography.

His title was almost immediately changed to “d******d”, and his position edited to say “HARD BORDER”.

Education Secretary Michael Gove's profile picture was changed to one of Rupert Murdoch.
