McVey: Momentum is the new Militant

McVey: Momentum is the new Militant

Postby Guest » Sun Sep 30, 2018 10:53 am

Esther McVey has accused Momentum, the Corbyn-supporting group, of being a “modern-day Militant”.

The work and pensions secretary, who grew up in Liverpool in the 1980s, when the city council was taken over by the hard-left faction, said: “Just as night follows day, the havoc that Militant caused in Liverpool could be brought to bear on the whole country.”

McVey will tomorrow tell the Conservative conference in Birmingham that she joined the party to “stand against the ugly, destructive, Marxist Militant socialists of the past”. Her attack comes days after Derek Hatton, 70, the former deputy leader of Liverpool council, said he had rejoined the Labour Party, 33 years after being expelled as part of Militant.

Last week, Labour frontbencher Dawn Butler quoted the faction’s slogan — “Better to break the law than break the poor” — at Labour’s conference in Liverpool.

I don't think that the comments of a modern day lying, sneering, murdering Nazi hold much weight. :slap: :shoot:

It's being reported as to what she's going to say so not and opinion piece at all.

I gave my opinion at the end of the article.

It seems to be the latest line from CCHQ, heard it a few times now.

They needed a new one. Notice how the daily anti Semitism stories about JC/Labour disappeared overnight after the Tory MEPs vote for Hungary's Orban?

Tory MEPs voted to protect Orbán the authoritarian. This is a stain on Britain
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... ry-britain

The Mail went from 2 to 4 stories per day down to nothing after that vote. Even now it's only mentioned occasionally and like so many current affairs articles these days, comments are 'moderated in advance'. (censored)
