You can thank Trump for that!

I was saying the same earlier. He’s certainly getting people off their arses.

True!
I bet The Democrats still put up a Clinton(esc) candidate to run against him though. Like in the UK, neoliberals never learn.

I was reading a piece earlier, and they think Clinton will run again. I'd love her to, it will split the Dems in two :yess:

That would be the definition of insanity but it wouldn't surprise me. Neoliberals would rather the far right took us into WW3 than give an electable socialist a chance.

Democrats are seeing a silver lining to Rep. Beto O'Rourke’s loss in Texas to Sen. Ted Cruz (R).

It means O’Rourke, who emerged in the midterms as a progressive star, is free to run for president.

If you are interested in a female, from the Dem party, Tulsi Gabbard is a far better candidate. She is bright, articulate and well informed on issues, unlike Cortez. I think people may like the idea of Cortez, but no honest person can watch one of her interviews and say she is not very lacking in knowledge and answers.

She's not stupid & the "leftist views" she holds are mainstream in most western countries. If you believe your country can't afford healthcare for all and statutory sick pay you've been hoodwinked spectacularly. I wouldn't dream of calling you stupid though.

Her age makes her inexperienced so that could be an issue but tbh, she's had more life experience than alot of world leaders I can think of. I'll look up Tulsi Gabbard.

The constitution says she has to be 35.

When she can't answer simple economics questions, after having received a degree in economics, she's poorly informed. Maybe she just had shitty college professors.

He could run anyway. Obama was a first term senator with two years left when he ran.

Beto says he isn't interested, but I've heard that before. I really think he would be the Dem front runner. I cant' think of anyone on their side with his charisma, looks and personality. He reminds my of Trudeau in Canada.

The memes are beneath you Maddog.

You disagreeing with her politics doesn't make her thick. People who are thick don't get degrees in economics. I've seen her interviews and notice she's not afraid of saying "I don't know" when asked something she's unsure about. From the politicians you favour I gather you prefer a good bullshitter who toes the line by sticking to rhetoric and slogans, which for some reason the political commentators doing the interviews seem to love.

She said 200 million Americans made less than 15/hr and that's 40% of our population. I could put up videos of her incorrect comments, but the internet is full of them, and you would.have already seen them if you have been following her.

The memes are a result of those comments.

That doesn't doesn't exceptionally stupid compared to some of the shit we hear from world leaders.
The bottom line is, you just don't like her politics and that's fine.

The bottom line is she is poorly informed and educated. I don't like Beto's politics, but you will never see me call him stupid.

You will also see me call Trump poorly informed and full of shit at times, yet I agree with his politics more than Beto.

Sheila Jackson Lee is also an idiot. Google some of stupid comments. And as I have already stated, Tulsi Gabbard is very intelligent.

Long story short, political ideology doesn't indicate intelligence.

A college degree doesn't always indicate intelligence. Trump has a far superior degree than hers. Are you saying he's more intelligent?

As for winning a seat, Google Sheila Jackson Lee. She wins all the time and can t find her ass with both hands.

I'm not familiar with Sheila Jackson. I've Googled her and she doesn't appear to be intellectually challenged? :dunno: She's obviously doing something right if she's been reelected since 1995.

As for Trump, we both know money & connections gets people like him whatever they want.

You sure as hell didn't try very hard. Google "Sheila Jackson Lee Idiot", and you can stay busy.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas once proclaimed that the U.S. Constitution was 400 years old. And as a member of the House Science Committee, Lee, during a visit to the Mars Pathfinder Operations Center, asked a NASA scientist whether the Pathfinder probe had photographed the flag that astronaut Neil Armstrong left behind in 1969. Armstrong had, of course, left the flag on the moon. In 2010, Lee proclaimed on the House floor that “victory had been achieved” by the United States in the Vietnam War and that “today, we have two Vietnams: side-by-side, north and south, exchanging and working.” Lee was a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee when she made that statement.
