At least you could have posted some pics up so we could all join in your CT! So what's your thoughts?

I'm still on the "looking at evidence" stage because I hadn't been reading conspiracy theories prior to my thoughts. Then I found a thread on the DI forum which I cannot stand because it is very right wing and tries to push right wing politics through its conspiracy theories. With how the fire is in a ring shape, the land could be ready to break off. But I can't understand how trees don't burn but metal and glass melts. I know some CTs think it's a microwave fire. It's just incredible and mind blowing how how a fire can devastate everything in its path but wood!

Here is something else I found last. When Portugal had its fires the EU had planted some trees in a forest to see how resistant they were to fungus but they were also resistant to fire due to their high water content. The whole forest devastated apart from this little patch of trees. Amazing.

shut up with the assclown trump detrangement syndrome, Trump is boorish but his actions/words will help them finally reform. The forests are mismanaged.
Being a hypnotzied left wing bot is no way to go thru life

His actions???? :shake head:

Please don't tell me he's there fighting the fire :yikes: the idea is to put the fire out - not have an incendiary maniac on the loose fanning the flame.

If it breaks off there's going to be a giant Tsunami in the immediate area and others.

I think we can rule out forest fire as the forest is still standing. As the area is the ring of fir zone. Could it be a phenomenon where the fire starts beneath the surface?

Trump is insensitive and correct at the same time.

He's using tragedy to play politics. It happens all the time, especially when there are a great number of fatalities.

To use an appropriate British idiom he's "adding fuel to the fire". It's like blaming folk in 9/11 for being at work or suggesting the NYFD were crap at their job and should have their funding cut.

As a President the man is a disgrace to your country. He's always blaming other people and playing the 'poor me' victim card. FFS get rid of the idiot..he's a fucking embarrassment.

Some of the responses to his crass tweet sum it up. Here is one;

Yes, the gun comparison is a good one. People love to use tragedy to further an agenda.

But, California has shitty range management. Do you think it would be a good idea to improve on it, at least where it doesn't trample on people's rights?

Yes but now is hardly the right time - what we'd call "shutting the gate after the horse has bolted" (another idiom). If seriously so bad then why were questions not raised long before? Whilst i accept there are state governors etc, the overall responsibility lies with Trump. That's what he nominated himself for but it seems each time any tragedy occurs he seeks to shift blame elsewhere to shirk the responsibility himself. It's always someone elses fault except his.

You don't even need be a politician to see how crass and insensitive making the remark he did is far from helpful and actually very vindictive. Anyone with an ounce of human decency would discuss this in a more professional manner rather than blabbing on social media threatening to cut funding.

Now is hardly the right time, but using something like this for a political advantage, before the bodies have assumed room temperature, is hardly new.

Yeah well that was pretty much my point. It's just totally insensitive but now having read up a bit more on the 'politics' side of it i see Californias Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, beat Republican John Cox in Tuesday’s election. Doesn't excuse Trumps crass dummy chucking, but certainly explains it.

Sites for the ct'ers? Long running one on the Lizard mans forum https://forum.davidicke.com/showthread.php?t=319265 and Alex Jones who is just as batshit crazy. Infowars have "high quality" paper gas masks for sale but "don't want to turn this disaster into a money making opportunity" - oh brother

Love Elaines response. I recal watching a documentry 20 something years ago after the massive fires of the 90s. The forrest is dependant on fire clearing out dead matter and old trees making room for new growth. the fires are part of the natural cycle of the forrests Life cycle. hence the reason I considered People use the second to defend themselves. creating fire breaks in Population dense areas could include 5-10 reduction in income tax for 52 days work managing federal land. or any where People arm themselves with tools not designed to maim and murder.

No doubt, Obama is infinitely more eloquent and statesman like.

I doubt that is news to anyone. Maybe I'm just jaded though. I don't really pay much attention to the politicians when they start talking, especially ones that say one thing and do another.

Seeing as melted cars and homes reduced to rubble are surrounded by trees that didn't burn how would making a fire break have worked?

You remove all of the brush and dead wood on the ground. The kindling if you like. That's the problem. The fuel.for the fire isn't large, healthy trees. It's the stuff all over the forest floor.

Fletch wrote:What happens to this land after the fire is out? Do owners get paid out and have to live elsewhere or can they rebuild on existing site?

Has this land been talked about for other uses at any time? I seem to recall there was a plan to redevelop areas or use a large area for something but there were problems gaining ownership/access? It had a name but can't remember now what it was, could just be rumour though? :dunno:

(came up again when the last big fires started which were said to be deliberate)

Saw mention of it again on a US site. It's Agenda 21 they were/are on about. Don't know much about it but this raises an eyebrow.

What is Agenda 21? — Quoting from the U.N. website: “Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.”(sic)

In fact, the Agenda 21 document was largely a creation of Maurice Strong, a mysterious man with a double-tracked career as both a high official at the U.N., and as a billionaire financial insider extracting the Earth’s resources in the petroleum and mining industries. Strong first took the world stage prominently as “Secretary General,” a title the U.N., for whatever reasons, adopted directly from communist and socialist organizations, of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in 1972.

Strong’s very scant bio on Wikipedia says that he “met a leading U.N. official in 1947 (when Strong was just 18) who arranged for him…to serve as a junior security officer at the U.N. headquarters in Lake Success, New York” (before the new U.N. building was built on land donated by the Rockefellers in Manhattan). Just one year later, Strong became a trainee in a high-powered brokerage in Canada, “where he took an interest in the oil business,” and was transferred to an office in “the Alberta oil patch.” There he was quickly hired as an assistant to an oil-industry leader, Jack Gallagher — All while maintaining his connections at the U.N.

Will insurance pay out or claim it's a natural disaster so up to government to sort out?

I know an ordinary fire is covered but wasn't sure if a natural disaster with government funds changed the position of land owners.
