General election imminent?

General election imminent?

Postby Rolluplostinspace » Thu Nov 15, 2018 9:00 am

Parliament will be interesting today.
May is not going to get enough votes for her mystery deal with Europe that even the Europeans haven't agreed to yet.
Is she finished?
Who will take her place that the public trust/like?
We are in danger of the worst possible deal which is no deal at all.

Reported an hour ago (treat with caution though):

Matt Hancock (Health Secretary) told cabinet "I cannot guarantee that people will not die as a result of a no-deal Brexit".

Has any other British government ever inflicted such chaos and uncertainty on the people of this country?
I'm thinking the answer is no.
A modern nation tearing itself apart in front of the world.
The rest of Europe must be looking on thinking what the hell are they doing?

Boris is clear favourite to replace May if (when?) she resigns. The insanity is just beginning.

We are rapidly sinking into the shit.
Members of this government should be facing jail.

Wrong.

Raab and Javid are joint favourites 5-1.
