Technically yes BUT we all know this government make their own rules and without a msm who hold them to account, it wouldn't surprise me if they weather this. Theresa May & her team will need to be prised of No10 with a crowbar. Especially with an uncorruptable socialist who sees war as a last resort waiting to step into her shoes...

Think how special the relationship will be with Corbyn and Trump as leaders.

I'm hoping for this just for the entertainment value. :more beer:

n an interview with Sky News today, the DUP’s parliamentary leader Nigel Dodds delivered a blow to the Tories that will have sent tremors through Downing Street.

The Establishment media’s constant line to minimise the realism of the prospect of Labour bringing down the government has been that the DUP would never tolerate the prospect of Jeremy Corbyn in Number Ten – but Dodds had already shown the depth of his disaffection with the Theresa May’s government and the DUP’s recent conference made abundantly clear that the rest of his party is aligned with his view.

And now Dodds has created a shockwave by telling Sky News’ Adam Boulton that he has noted Jeremy Corbyn’s commitment to the Belfast (or ‘Good Friday’) Agreement – and hinting that the DUP’s interests and their view of the best future for Northern Ireland might be better served by seeing Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister than Theresa May:

A General Election can't happen until 2/3rds of Parliament agree and it wouldn't affect the Brexit process.

Were there to be a vote of no confidence in Theresa May there would have to be a quick MPs only internal election for the Conservatives to select a new Parliamentary leader who would then have to pass a vote of confidence within a very brief period - I think 14 days. It would be utter carnage for the Tories.

A more likely outcome given today's ruling on unilateral withdraw of Article 50 is that Theresa May would put that into abeyance - essentially stop the clock on it - until a binding referendum can be held. The battle would then shift to the Theresa May's deal, No Deal or No Brexit scenario that is floating around. The anti-EU types don't want that because they would lose very convincingly so it will be May's deal and back to blaming the relationship with Europe whenever anything goes wrong -

If you add all opposition parties to the 80+ Tory Brexit rebels, you will be very close to that 2/3rds.

With Labour well ahead and the Tories not just split but torn in two on Brexit do you honestly think the turkeys will vote for Christmas this year?

Probably not, for now I would settle for a People's Vote.
