I'm comparing supporters of AOC to supporters of Trump. I didn't bring up Commies or Nazis as that's hyperbole. No doubt both people are supported by extremists, but that's not where the bulk of their support comes from.

The point is, that both politicians can say things that fail every honest fact checker, yet their supporters are not remotely concerned and in fact are fine with them being wrong.

What does bother supporters of AOC and Trump is being faced with the reality that they are not that different from each other.

Your own qualifications to comment on understanding of economics are limited as I recall.

There is a growing understanding that growing wealth inequality is not sustainable and a method of wealth redistribution is needed to stimulate aggregate demand. How that can be done is open to question but the one certainty is that the evidence has all shown the Laffer curve to be Voodoo Economics of the very worst kind.
