She's a socialist.
But that's not the point of the article.
But the knives are out already?
There was a time when ignorant statements doomed politicians. Now it almost makes them more endearing to many of their followers

I was comparing her to Trump. Supporters of both are not concerned with accuracy or knowledge.
This is something that "centrists" do in the UK a lot...
Compare socialists to supporters of the far right, as if Nazi salutes & racially abusing people on trains is the same as campaigning to protect the NHS & our workers rights.
Little sneaks that they are!
I'm comparing supporters of AOC to supporters of Trump. I didn't bring up Commies or Nazis as that's hyperbole. No doubt both people are supported by extremists, but that's not where the bulk of their support comes from.
The point is, that both politicians can say things that fail every honest fact checker, yet their supporters are not remotely concerned and in fact are fine with them being wrong.
What does bother supporters of AOC and Trump is being faced with the reality that they are not that different from each other.
You call her supporters "extremists", which is outrageous. In what sort of perverted universe are Healthcare for all & mandatory workers rights "extreme"?
Wanting to build a wall around a whole country, that's extreme!
The comparisons between her and Trump are really quite dangerous & I'm surprised that someone as "woke" as you would be sucked into that.
