Before starting this thread I sat sipping my lemon tea trying to honestly think of something and nothing came to mind.
Nothing for the Tories to put in their next election campaign leaflets.
Will they still spout strong and stable I wonder?

Generous, I know, coming from me, but credit where credit's due.
I know they had to be dragged kicking and screaming into it, but they are lowering maximum stakes on FOTBs to £2, from £100 per spin (every 20 seconds).
FOBTs are the crack cocaine bandits in the bookies. Thousands have become addicted, losing millions as well as health, family, house etc. I know a man who lost £150,000 in 18 months - cost him his business. Saddest thing was, he was a lovely bloke, teenage son who doted on him.

Private urgent care clinics are offering an alternative to accident and emergency services for patients who pay to ‘jump the queue’.
The clinics, which charge upwards of £100 for adults, are open until 11pm.
But while many conditions, such as broken bones, can be dealt with at the sites, the most serious cases are still recommended for treatment in accident and emergency departments at conventional NHS hospitals.
Critics say the private clinics may lure away A&E doctors from NHS hospitals at a time when many are struggling to recruit medical staff.
HCA, a private healthcare company, now runs five urgent care units – four of which opened this year – including one for children, which charges £150 for a basic consultation.
And another private healthcare firm, BMI, offers seven units, most of which have opened in the past three years.

Tories are not going to privatise the NHS, is the claim...

That suggests we should offload personal responsibility and blame the government for our failures, however I agree with the fact that the bookies were allowed to get away with that shit for far too long.
