Probably should have some common sense laws about this.

Don't tell me, it would have been better if everyone was armed. :woteva:

Then it could have been a shooting gallery? :ooer:

*The heavily armed and packed Christmas market returned fire to the lone gunman, only twenty five killed due to collateral damage*

You've got shooters...

Nah. This shooter managed to shoot his way out even against the cops. What France needs is some common sense laws banning these weapons!

For those not familiar this is Maddog's periodic trip into the Nirvana Fallacy.

The Nirvana Fallacy is that particular blind alley that says any solution that isn't 100% effective 100% of the time should be completely discarded as utterly useless.

In the world of the Nirvana Fallacy we should all leave our doors and windows open because thieves break in.
We shouldn't have speed limits because people drive over the speed limit.
We shouldn't do anything to try to prevent harm we should only deal the consequences, and if we make the consequences severe enough that will be a 'deterrent'. That is of course complete bullshit.

Excellent news. Although capturing him alive would preclude him from being some sorta martyr.

On that we agree, but he seems to have been determined not to be taken alive.
