Do you think a vote will pass the Republican controlled Senate?
Why not let them vote and find out?
At the very least we would get to see which Republicans are going to sit on their hands rather than stand by a deal they have already voted for when they controlled both the House and Senate thus demonstrating theirs is not a stand based on principle or concern for border security but instead on their political insecurity....
Oh I get you now.
You think that Republican senators who vote for a pointless shutdown are at risk in 2020 from reasonable Americans on one side and Trump's fanatical base on the other and they're putting party before country despite the fact that, for example, the lack of e-Verify is doing more to facilitate illegal immigration than a wall could do to stop it.
You may have a point there.
