Assad is evil. Just because the US hates him doesn't mean you have to whitewash the c**t.

She is maligned by the left wing press because she is not left wing. That's how politics works; you support the people who represent what you want not what you dont want.

Sanders is pretty shit as well. This was always the argument; as with Corbyn in the UK what the media is calling 'radical' or 'far left' is really watered down social democracy - the kind of stuff that both left and right used to support. I serious doubt you would call Eisenhower or Churchill 'radical far left loons'.

Same with AOC and her 70% marginal rate on incomes over $10million - America at one point taxed that shit at 98%, FDR wanted a marginal rate of 100% at one point. Hardly a far left radical. Sweden taxes incomes over $80,000 that much right now while also trying to ban unions so does that make them far left or far right?

More like the system itself, which these people are commited to upholding which is why they inevitably shit on their supporters

AOC managed it on her very first day in office

Abolishing ICE by funding it

In spite of promises to "Abolish ICE," Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others voted to fund it on their very first day in office.

I would say the system is fine,. It's the people in it who have corrupted it, that are the problem.

Fitting in perfectly with the Conservative Right.

Yet still there will be articles next year lambasting the left for not supporting her.

You can be pro Israel without thinking US troops need to be used to settle problems in other countries. That would define my position. War predates the US and if we are incinerated tomorrow, it will continue. But our troops dont need to be a part of it unless they are actually defending Anericans.

She is still pro-war just more of the 'drone striking civilians to death' rather than 'send troops to kill civilians' variety America usually engages in

Seems she is in bed with Hindu Fascists as well

Can you think of anyone else running, that's not just the same old, same old? At least on the Dem side, since there doesn't seem like there will be anyone on the Rep side.

No which is why I wouldnt support any of them. The initial point was the arguement 'left wing people should support her' which my response has been no because she isnt even left wing and has shit views/politics at odds with left wing principles. As shit as Sanders is he is better than her for a left wing voter.

The bigger issue is how do you keep a candidate true to their word once elected and that is where a mobilised grassroots social movement is needed - Sanders sort of has it with the DSA thing which is why the Dem centrists hate him so much. Same with Corbyn and momentum.
