No I know what's being talked about isn't banning them.
Open fires too .... of which I've just chucked another shovel of coal on.
It would certainly affect me and a huge number of People in Wales.
I imagine it would affect very few in England.

I'm in England and my property still has the original open fire. I'm lucky that i don't live in a batty smokeless area so can burn real coal, logs, anything. When i first moved here i was like a kid as it had been almost 35 years since i'd last sat by a real coal fire so i used to light up, then walk outside to watch the smoke billowing out the chimney! I rarely use it now and with hindsight i wished i'd had a log burner installed as they are damned efficient. All my neighbours have had their open fire removed and either bricked up or a gas fire installed. Huge mistake imo as an open fire is a good selling feature.

Hopefully patio heaters and fire pits will be things of the past.

And the Nov 5th bonfires will become even more organised rather than homegrown, a trend seen very much here already.

They should also ban farting
I think that the impact of human farting has been greatly underestimated.

Bit draconian. People not permitted to enjoy themselves outside now?

You are beginning to sound like Dingo, Fletch.

Do you seriously believe that trying to change our climate via fire pits and patio heaters is good for reducing actual climate change ? Seriously ?

There are other ways to deal with cool evenings outside. Wear a jumper, or go in when it gets too cold. Sensible stuff to most.

Behave you fucking killjoy. You're worried about man doing what he's done for thousands of years whilst the likes of Bayer/Monsanto are not only permitted to continue but actively supported by neoliberal corporate apologists such as yourself?

Yeah, you're right. The corporates are all conspiring to bleed us dry and wreck the planet. Best give up and start on doubling the foil lining in the special room.

Oh, you already have.

Canny--dont tell them about the levels of CO2 in the air 10,000 yrs ago. It may mess up their narrative.

I have a log burner, but wouldn’t die of hypothermia without it... i’d just bung the central heating up a few notches more! :dunno:

Sorry Canny but I cannot agree, I happen to think Felch is an inimitable one off quite unlike normal sane people.

The really crazy bit is the powers that be want to shut down my coal and log burning and use gas or electricity produced on gas turbines.
Yet don't dare use gas on the patio .... world is truly fucking mad.

I have two large gas bottles outside that are piped into my kitchen for the cooker.
Very bad shit for the environment but because the flames are not on the patio it's ok by the reckoning of some posters on here.

Gas bottles? So you actually are living off the grid.
