No I know what's being talked about isn't banning them.
Open fires too .... of which I've just chucked another shovel of coal on.
It would certainly affect me and a huge number of People in Wales.
I imagine it would affect very few in England.
I'm in England and my property still has the original open fire. I'm lucky that i don't live in a batty smokeless area so can burn real coal, logs, anything. When i first moved here i was like a kid as it had been almost 35 years since i'd last sat by a real coal fire so i used to light up, then walk outside to watch the smoke billowing out the chimney! I rarely use it now and with hindsight i wished i'd had a log burner installed as they are damned efficient. All my neighbours have had their open fire removed and either bricked up or a gas fire installed. Huge mistake imo as an open fire is a good selling feature.
