If they banned log burners .....

If they banned log burners .....

.... tomorrow would it affect you?
No I know what's being talked about isn't banning them.
Open fires too .... of which I've just chucked another shovel of coal on.
It would certainly affect me and a huge number of People in Wales.
I imagine it would affect very few in England.

It would affect a pub or two round here - but not me personally.

It would affect my neighbours.
Is it also going to affect barbecues?

Surely to make a real difference to clean air they need to restrict vehicle ownership.

I look back to the fifties and sixties when everyone had an open fire.
No kids with asthma.
Pea soup fogs but no asthma.
Also very very few cars and flights.
I think most of the shit is car exhaust which we can all see.
Then aircraft .... look on flight radar 24 and the whole western world skies are crammed.

Vehicles are definitely the issue here but they won’t address that. Better to look as if they’re doing something by restricting log burning... :dunno:

Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker! shows about 3300 planes in the air at the moment. Assuming an average capacity of 200, there are about 660,000 people in the air right now.
How many people are in the air flying at any given time? - Quora

You are living a very isolated London centric life if you didn't know there are skiing lodges skiing holidays in Scotland.
They've been there all my life at least.

I am well aware of that, I was surprised however about the enormous amount of facilities available in Scotland -something I was unaware of tbh.

Have they had enough snow yet I'm wondering.
It's been disturbingly mild.
Snow next week and freezing temps but I'll believe it when I see it because the amount of severe cold snaps they warn us about that never materialise are not making me look good in front of the children in my life who get fed up of hearing it!
This quote function is doing my nut in lately.
