FORECAST TONIGHT'S BREXIT VOTE.

FORECAST TONIGHT'S BREXIT VOTE.

Postby Cannydc » Tue Jan 15, 2019 1:37 pm

The so-called 'Meaningful Vote' takes place tonight, just after 7pm.

Try this useful forecaster, let us know how you get on.

Me - 237 for May's deal, 376 against, with 27 abstaining. May to lose by 139, a resigning number (anything over 100).

Somewhere between 100-150. I'd be very surprised if she resigned. It'll end up with an extension to Article 50 and she'll go on about renegotiating blah blah.

“Forward, the Light Brigade!”
Was there a man dismayed?
Not though the soldier knew
Someone had blundered.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

It could be worse.

I'm not exactly sure what just happened over there, but it sounds like some folks are not happy. :dunno:

He's the Eddie the Eagle of political leaders.

May putting on a brave face. I wonder how she feels knowing that her speech is utterly pointless and she's going to lose anyway.

Probably not a great idea to divide a country over something that hardly anyone gave a shit about five years ago. We're fucked whatever happens now, the vote has been returned to the lawmakers.

Has she just tried to call a vote of no confidence?

All votes divide. It's up to the folks to move on after that vote.

I think what y'all have been doing for a few years now is slowing removing a bandaid. Grab it, yank it off and get it over with.
