Meh, it sold some newspapers...

Does anyone still buy those things?

It kept news reporters in work.

They are given away free on London Underground with advertising footing the bill, and I have to say it is quite nice for anyone embarking on the tube who wants to remain anonymous having no wish to engage with other passengers --which is very normal for the tube in London :smilin:

We get freebies here too, magazines as well as papers. I do still enjoy reading stuff on paper and flicking the pages but I get most of my news on the net, radio and channel 4 & sky.

#Remainernow?

Meh. I was never evangelical about it either way. When I ask myself the question, "In what specific ways will my life be better if we leave the EU?", I can't think of a damn thing. That's the simple truth, free of ideology or political bias. Gotta be honest with myself.

I'm sure that someone with a sociology degree has bunged you into some sort of social group. At the end of the day (and we're nearly there), it was all a bit stupid.

Agreed.

But I think the term "stagger on" is in order here. And she has decided to 'reach out' to fellow parliamentarians - to achieve what,if her red lines remain, and the EU is steadfast?

Something has to give, and it can only be May and her rotten, useless government.

What I don’t get is why did she go ahead with the vote yesterday when she knew it wasn’t going to go through. She did manage to unite the remainers and Brexiteer protestors outside parliament which makes me think theres some sort of tactic at play here.

It is all tactics by both sides to prevent Brexit from happening

People were told that there were no issues with brexit, that there would only be sunny uplands.

Then those people are stupid.

I think a lot of people will have made their decision before any propaganda from either side

Wasn’t it the financial crisis and the migrant crisis that made people worry?

I like the T-shirt. But I’m kinda impartial, veering one way then the other depending on how my day has gone.

The financial crisis was created by bad mortgage decisions in America, it created ripples all over the world and RBS was the major player; hence the bailout that ushered in austerity. The migrant stuff was lies.

I mean the whole limited resources/being stretched to the limit fear. It was a ploy that worked because there was some truth to it, depending on where you lived.
The fact that immigrants got the blame instead of bad organisation by those in power is the reason we are where we are.
