Careers, families, mortgages
They will have already switched to voting Conservative.

Why?
Thatcher saw the biggest rise in mortgage failures and repos.
She oversaw the largest interest rates ever.
She oversaw the highest inflation figures.
She oversaw the highest borrowing and debt ... just like her buddy across the water Reagan.
Not to mention mass unemployment and homelessness the slashing of police numbers the destruction of the NHS hospitals with rain pouring in portacabin classrooms with no books no pencils no crayons and the roofs leaking.
Why on earth would they want what they see keep repeating itself.
No one and I fucking mean no one can possibly be impressed with what this government hasn't achieved since coming to office and want to repeat it surely.

How is calling people "gammons" in any way constructive?

It's alienating.

OP have you moved to Thailand yet?

Oversaw being the operative word, not necessarily the cause.

Generally, the highest inflation rates were in in the mid to late 1970's when a Labour government was in power. I'm old enough to remember this personally.

And you conveniently forget about the Winter of Discontent under a Labour government.

That caused the Labour government to fall and Margaret Thatcher to win the 1979 election.

You don't need links - the sources are written on the charts.

The more education you have the more brainwashing you get from left-wing teachers and academics.

Hardly surprising that they are then more likely to vote Labour.

For a start the highest inflation under Thatcher was 21.91% in May 1980 (and she'd only been in government for a year so most of the blame for that goes Labour's way).

It was over 25% for 7 months in 1975 and higher than the Thatcher figure for another 3 months in 1975/ 1976.

May 1975 - 25.00 %
June 1975 - 26.13 %
July 1975 - 26.25 %
August 1975 - 26.87 %
September 1975 - 26.58 %
October 1975 - 25.88 %
November 1975 - 25.17 %
December 1975 - 24.89 %
January 1976 - 23.35 %
February 1976 - 22.89 %
