Exactly but i'm afraid due process is being bypassed now in favour of trial by social media, and there's been many disastrous cases fallen at the first hurdle. Brexit Blighty's budget "justice" system. It's to be hoped for the sake of the CPS they've got a watertight case.

Let's face it a bloke can get arrested by police and banged up for two days of questioning for having a hobby interest in fucking r/control model planes! :roll:

It's the Procurator Fiscal who brings cases here, it's fuck all to do with the CPS.
It's amazing how many English people are ignorant of the fact that we have a separate and independent legal system.
The main differences;

PF, not CPS.
15 person jury, not 12.
16 is age of legal capacity, not 18.
Sheriff Courts, not Crown Courts. (I think these are the correct equivalents,
District Courts, not County Courts. I'm not totally sure)
Advocates, not barristers.
Culpable homicide, not manslaughter.
Not Proven as a third potential verdict.

There are other differences of course, these are the most important ones. :cuppaT:

It's as if no-one south of the Solway Firth had ever seen Taggart. :yikes: :laughing:

Yeah i know i just couldn't be arsed to look it up and just used CPS for sake of convenience. I knew about it back from the Glasgow bin lorry fiasco. Regards the final comment i've almost certainly been to more places in Scotland than you have Guesty..in fact i'd guarantee it if you're a Scot! :razz:

Typo?

Didn’t you mean “defecating”?
