For those who like irony

The No-Deal Brexit Plan proposes zero tariffs on a range of goods on the UK mainland but exempts Northern Ireland - remember one of the absolute key principles of Brexit for the DUP was that Northern Ireland should not be treated any differently to the mainland.

A No-Deal Brexit would openly defy the expressed will of the UK Parliament, remember the Brexiters said they wanted the UK Parliament to be sovereign.

Finally those tariffs - they will allow imports from far and wide with zero tariffs but the WTO Rules, remember how the Brexiters love them, mean that the EU cannot respond in kind without applying the same rules to every other nation on the planet, it can't just make an exception for the UK. So the UK government will be putting UK businesses at a disadvantage against competitors in Europe.

Funny how these things work out.

Oh and finally whereas the public don't get a second vote on the EU MPs have given themselves three in one night

We don't get to vote on anything much once we've done a general election until the next one, so not a very good comparison.

...my two cents is they don't have either principle or cahonas enough to hold out and the most likely outcome is acceptance of the deal next week.

Looks like they're starting to position themselves for putting it to another referendum/general election or revoking article 50. They're choosing an extension until at least June so that we take part in the European elections otherwise we'd be in a position where we are in the EU without any MEP's.

Can we run out the clock and have we managed to persuade people in the EU to veto an extension?

Absolutely.

Not sure what made you think Labour would vote for something that has no chance of winning. They will abstain.

However, once A50 has been extended and no concensus has emerged (my deal or no deal) the second referendum becomes a viable proposal that can be pushed by Labour.
