Not surprised it's a banned topic elsewhere - some of the spiteful comments by people who have no real knowledge of the case bar the sensationalist crap they've sucked up while internet bottom feeding are simply disgusting.

I was talking about the fact that Gerry McCann has or had some very fancy connections to higher-ups in the British government. Nothing sinister, or even any conspiracy theory. Just stuff that the media have, for some reason, chosen to never mention.

I have nothing against them personally, believe it or not. I just find the unprecedented levels of publicity and, for lack of better words "special treatment" ploughed into this one case totally astounding.

Total spent on this case nearly at 12 million quid at this point.

Honestly, I think it's time people start asking some very difficult questions when it comes to this neverending supply of cash and yearly jollies to Portugal for the investigating officers. For the amount of money spent, to not have a single lead I feel continued fundung is absolutely inexcusable.
