Christchurch mosque shootings: Several dead after New Zealan

Why do people often say they don't expect to see atrocities in 'laid back' places like NZ, etc?
They said the same thing after Dunblane
And in Norway, after Brevik shot 70 youngsters.
It's time people removed their rose tinted specs and realised that every corner of the word is tainted by evil, sadly. :-|

RIP to the victims in NZ, . . . and ALL terror attacks.

It's all about probability.

For instance, it is much less probable that I will get stabbed walking to my village corner shop in Norfolk than if I were young, black and delivering drugs in London.

It doesn't mean it can't happen - just that the expectation is much, much lower.

Expectations count for nothing.
The world is a small global village & it shrinks by the day.

Jacinda was wailing that the recent murder of ONE backpacker gave NZ a bad name.
Little did she know that 50 more murders were just round the corner.

Thought the WW2 defeat of the Nazis put paid to hatred? Think again!
Hate is fashionable again.
Trump made it cool & sexy to hate, hate, hate once more.

If anyone is doubting that he was radicalised on his travels around europe, and the terrorist attacks that happened at the time he wrote "This is for Ebba Akerlund" on his gun.

You can never be too careful, wherever you are.
Innocents who went to an Ariana Grande concert in manc, ended up dead - no one saw that coming!
Gotta keep your wits about you at all times.
Stay safe, Holy. x

Do you think he was exhibiting signs of a mental illness? That image certainly seems to be the work of a disturbed mind

I always lean towards thinking that anyone that commits this sort of atrocity must be, no matter what their background, or the background of the victims

Yes he did but what do you think caused someone to go from telling people how wonderful Pakistan and its people are into an accelerationist that murders a bunch of muslims in a mosque to try and start a civil war between the right and the left because they think multiculturalism is a mistake and that muslims are invading and taking over the west?

This is precisely the time for it. This attack is a manifestation of all the Islamophobic & racist far right politics that have infected western society over recent years.
