The Sunday Times have released part of the covert recording taken by Margaret Hodge of her meeting with Jeremy Corbyn to discuss his steps to eradicate anti semitism from the Labour Party.

If The Times see this as hard evidence of Corbyn's culpability then they clearly didn't listen to it...

P.S. Listen to the "OK" right at the end. eyebrow

Isn't it strange that only part of the recording was released ?

That would be the couple of sentences that the Sunday Times believed could be misinterpreted against Corbyn and Labour.

Well, they got Dingle and Tory HQ, at least....

Sadly for them, even on that small clip Hodges seems to be agreeing with Corbyn's plans - as she probably did in the rest of the meeting.

The desperation grows as Tory figures fall......and fall.........and fall...

A Conservative MP has pleaded guilty to two charges of making a false expenses claim.

Chris Davies admitted to one charge of providing false or misleading information for allowances claims and one of attempting to do so.

The court heard how the charges related to when he was setting up his constituency office following the 2015 general election.

The MP for Brecon and Radnorshire will be sentenced at the crown court.

Not as important or newsworthy as Dianne Abbot drinking (glugging in the Daily Heil) a Mojita from a can, on the underground, obviously...

circulated showing her drinking a mojito on public transport in London.

The Labour frontbencher said on Twitter: “A photo of me drinking from a can of M&S mojito on the Overground has been circulated. I’m sincerely sorry for drinking on TfL.”

She sent the tweet after the photograph was published in the Sun, and she received widespread support, with many people saying she should not have to apologise.

The therapist and writer Philippa Perry said: “Oh mate. We’ve all done it. Anyway thanks for travelling on the tube like most people have to do.” While the Labour MP David Lammy said: “Jah Rastafari! Why was the rum not Jamaican?”

A mental health campaigner, Sam Thomas, said: “Why should you be sorry? We are all free to the freedom of choice. If you choose to drink on the underground, it’s fine. Meanwhile, for the serious crime that it isn’t, far worse atrocities are being committed.”

One person wrote: “I’ve never felt more represented,” while another said: “Babe, live your life”.

Police insp who shopped Diane Abbott for drinking on train faced disciplinary for far-right comments

The retired Met’ Detective Chief Inspector who took a photograph of Diane Abbott MP drinking a mojito on a train was disciplined and forced into early retirement because of his far-right wing posts on social media.

In 2016, DCI Mick Neville faced disciplinary action for homophobic comments and rants about “left-wing idiots” and migrants who have “turned London into a foreign city”.
