I didn't see many Grenfell survivors there to cheer her out of office.

Wrong one though - and she's gone out with a jackpot win in her bank account. The inquiry needs start looking much further up, ie who gave the green light to the cladding on buildings that height when it was already banned in many other countries.

Which is why she reached the top of the tree, obviously... some men get really antsy when women are better at a job than they are.

That would be the Tory government who, in order to cut costs as a part of their Austerity Program, ruled that flawed mathematical models were as good as actually testing the materials, which turned out not to be true.

Am I right in believing that the report actually apportioning blame for the use of cladding has yet to be released?

Bojo's desk must be piled high with unreleased incriminatory reports.

You're absolutely right.

Jacob Rees Mogg may be telling his hedge fund managers which way the government decisions will go even as we speak.

Dany is now a very wealthy lady indeed. After just 3 years in the top job she has retired with a VERY handsome gilt edge retirement package, comparable to the 'golden goodbyes' top CEO's receive. While everyone else is required to work till they are not far off 70.

Moreover at just 50 yo, she is free to start a brand new career & earn a top whack salary all over again. Dry your tears and think how lucky you are, lady. :header:

Yes, a £2million pension pot will surely soften the blow!

She was paying 14% of her salary into her pension fund, about 1/3 of total contributions (employer pays 26%)

Normal retirement age for firefighters is 55.

You can retire earlier with immediate payment of benefits provided you have reached age 50 and have at least 25 years' service although restrictions may apply.

Those restrictions are usually that you take a proportionately reduced pension until you reach the age of 55.

Well when you're making 200 grand a year 14% for an early retirement pension is a no brainer really.
