Ideally we should have a genuine party representing conservatism, one representing liberalism and one for socialism and let them slug it out. Can't see that happening in my lifetime so take what you can get and whatever change, however incremental, is on the table.
If you want a "genuine" socialist party, why don't you support the "Socialist Party of Great Britain"
