EARLY ATTEMPT BY GOVE TO FIDDLE MAY ELECTIONS?

Postby Cannydc » Tue Feb 23, 2021 8:52 pm

The Cabinet Office Secretary sent pre-paid envelopes to his constituents encouraging them to sign up for a postal vote to avoid the risk of Covid-19 - and to send the forms to his office...

Nothing suspicious to see here - move on.

Michael Gove has defended a “frankly astounding” letter he sent to voters encouraging them to send election registration forms to him.

The Cabinet Office Secretary sent pre-paid envelopes to his constituents, along with a letter urging them to register for a postal vote to avoid the risk of catching Covid-19 at polling stations.

But while the letter, signed by Mr Gove, includes the address of the local elections office, the free post envelopes are addressed to his local Conservative association.

The letter reads: "If you prefer to do so, you are welcome to use the free post envelope supplied and we will hand it in on your behalf."

Course you will, Govey, course you will...

As long as Tories WIN, I care not how they do it.

Labour are hastens and will NOT get in for at least 200 if then

Surely no-one can be that dim, can they?

A kettle will do the job.

Steam open those envelopes, spoil and pass on Labour votes (or destroy them).

Pass on the Tory votes as normal.

A few dozen is often enough in a council election.

Couldn't be simpler....

Yep, seen them do it with postal votes. I got my postal vote form the other day too, mine goes back to local authority, I'd be heavily complaining if any party envelope was included.

Like this you mean?

“I’ve been told the way they do it is they collect the ballots early, they put them in a microwave with a bowl of water, steam them open, take the ballots,” he explained.

“If they like the way it’s voted they put them back in,” Shooter continued. “If they don’t like the way it’s voted, they lose that ballot.”

I think you'd better have a look at these test results

Americans don't really use electric kettles that is why they use a microwave i guess

just as an aside

actually as another, why the fucking fuck would you use a microwaved bowl of water to open a letter, they just made ballot soup

the steam has to be targetted over the sticky bit, did nobody tell them?

And "I've been told" isn't exactly proof...

However, a letter signed by the man himself isn't quite so deniable, is it?

Election fraud is a real problem now in this country, I recall certain officials being caught out for Election fraud.

Not according to the Electoral Commission it isn't
The UK has low levels of proven electoral fraud.

In March 2020 we reported on the number and type of cases investigated by the police in 2019.
This page provides an update on the number of cases and their outcomes.
There remains no evidence of large-scale electoral fraud in 2019.
Overview
592 cases of alleged electoral fraud were investigated by the police.
Of these, three led to a conviction and an individual was given a police caution.
