Agonisingly he missed that century milestone by just 2 months!!
But hey he had a great life!
No regrets, I reckon.

Apparently he said he couldn't think of anything worse than reaching 100.

Treble and double top

This man will be sorely missed by many, he was such a great character.

Poor Liz, she’s lost the man she spent her life with.

A black cloud hangs over Windsor castle.

Sad day.

Wishing the Queen every sympathy.

Hardly "the end of an era" while she is still with us, though.

Yes, Sandringham is nice, and quite close for a quick visit. Windsor Castle was OK too.

Ahahaha I see what you did there, Cannydc. :pointlaugh: 'Buck House' & Balmoral aren't too shabby either.
Random fact - you know there is a big age gap between his first two kids and the last two - apparently it was the queen who persuaded him (strongly) to have another two, long after the first pair were born.
'Twas a strong, solid marriage, for sure.

People on other forums moaning that Radio 1 dumped the Top 40 countdown tonight and that there are no soaps tonight are just sad people. It's one day and the soaps will be back Mondasay.
