The U.S. Homeland Security Department confirmed that it began expelling migrants by air to Mexico under a pandemic-related authority that prevents migrants from seeking asylum at the border. The department, which did not respond to a question about the nationalities of those aboard Thursday's flight, said the frequency of repeat crossers and transmissibility of the delta variant of the coronavirus necessitated the move.

We've never flown them most of the way there and then expected another country to deal with them.
Sure is an abrupt change from the campaign trail.

Biden and Trump are both liars. One's just more polite and reserved about it.
They all make campaign promises and then the civil servants explain budgetary concerns won't allow them, so they all go back on their promises.

Some promises are more problematic though. Joe literally got on Spanish language TV and told these people to come.
He was a senator for 40 years and VP for 8. He either knew what would happen when they got here, or is dumber than a box of rocks. He's not that dumb.
As for Trumps wall, heard all sorts of bullshit how that was going to funded.
Basically it all comes back to the American taxpayer.
Our Labour Party admitted that they "Sent Out Search Parties" to all corners of the world to invite people to come and live in Britain and "to rub the Right's nose in it."
It was their most successful policy, prior to that we didn't have caravans of people stretching back to all parts of the globe with people desperate to get here, and those that came got straight on the phone/internet and told all their friends and relatives to come here.
People trafficking gangs are making a fortune, people, whole families, individuals and little kids are losing their lives in desperately trying to get here.
It is a policy that has caused and will continue to cause so much human misery.
Counter that with our current Tory Government's "Hostile Attitude" toward these people, and even people who came here as small kids, and we see even more human misery being caused.
It is a never ending human tragedy, and I cannot see it improving. When the Taliban gain control of Afghanistan I can see another huge wave of people trying to get here, and who can blame them?
However, in their ranks will be the sleeper cells of those with evil on their minds who hate the west and just want to get here so they can "head to paradise" by taking a few westerners with them.
What a mess.
