ALDI looks fine.
BnM well short with single cans of soup strung along a lot of shelf space.
It's a fairly large BnM but has always had a very minimal alcohol corner.
Today there's a whole isle of booze and a good selection of reds but no spirits. They never sold spirits. Lots of beers and lagers.
Me and missus couldn't remember what the isle full of booze used to be because we don't go in there often enough.
Morrisons looks like it could be closed by weekend!
Three different places with no diesel.
Around here that is really serious.

Hhmm they could be figuring on getting everyone pissed so they won't notice empty food shelves.

I'm being serious because the hundred thousand truck driver shortage cannot be fixed In a few weeks or even months.
Maddog can you send us a hundred thousand truck drivers promptly?

I doubt any US truckers could handle our roads though - we have bends and corners and they're only used to driving straights. :gigglesnshit:

They'd all be driving on the wrong side of the road!

Good thinking.
Poland can... no best forget that idea.
I bet Russia and China could spare thousands but they'd want paying in Euros because I suspect the headlines soon will be everyone is ditching the pound.

We can't have martial law because the RLC are already going to be moved to distribution to civilians, they can't use the TA truckers because they're already doing the job!

What a fuck up, if only the voters had been told...

We have our own shortage.

Of truckers, and everything else.

I don't know why people knock potatoes just because they're "starchy".

Well if these food shortage threats take hold they will all be glad of their boiled potatoes.

Time to stock up again methinks.

WHY are we short of HGV drivers, they used to be called KNIGHTS OF THE ROAD, now they are bullies from all over the world who tailgate on motorways, go around islands like maniacs at speed

Shift food in smaller vehicles which can be driven on a car licence

At least most of yours are paved.

Grafs comment was funny if he's just taking the piss. If he's serious, he's clueless. No doubt driving down our Interstates is pretty damn easy.

Trucks don't get the luxury of doing that though. Someone has to get up to Leadville, Colorado in February where the elevation is over 10,000 feet and the mountain passes are higher than that.

Maj you can't be serious.
How many transit vans do you think it would take to keep a large Tesco up and running?
All the European drivers have left. The busy port of Holyhead is dying because Irish trucks now use other ferry services direct to France Italy Spain no UK drivers involved hardly.
No test centres examiners or trainers available in their hundreds. We need hundreds just to get new drivers up to scratch where will we get them before Xmas?
