So you are saying all is well and our fleet has not declined?
No Raven this was what you were saying ......
Yes indeed, you said that (contrary to popular belief) we have a fishing fleet--I was merely pointing out it has declined massively --so why jump down my throat for that when I was merely quoting the Beeb?
Stop taking things personally, like jra used to --but which thankfully he is over now.

Fifty years ago Britain's fishing industry employed around 50,000 fishermen. Today there are around 17,000.
Just eight years ago, the UK exported nearly 229,000 tonnes of fish a year. In 1999, that figure had more than halved.

And that was dated 2000, hey but as long as your happy what does it matter

Personally I am weirdly obsessed with scientific documentaries.
e.g. I watched the Sky At Night yesterday about an airborne 17 ton telescope mounted in the back of a Jumbo Jet that is called SOFIA (Stratospheric Observation For Infra Red Astronomy).
Riveting stuff

Weirdly yes. Saint Agur is lovely.
Ok we can put you on the weird list.
I have a thing for rubber pumps, you know the black ones we used to wear for school PE. I loved sniffing them. And no, I’ve never been a glue sniffer, just a pump sniffer.
