The Queens funeral was the most watched event in human history :yikes:
Despite all the criticism she had to endure over her 70 years of reign, this just shows how loved and respected she really was.

MPs, celebrities and military leaders have called for the pallbearers who carried the Queen’s coffin to receive MBE's from the King.

I said myself they did an incredible job but I think calling for them to be awarded MBE's is ridiculous.

Joes security team and 'Marine One' leaving.

I think our police thoroughly enjoyed themselves, particularly the biker cops racing up and down.

Agreed, it’s almost as though she planned to pass away in Scotland and have that long hearse drive through the Scottish landscape to remind people of the benefits of unity, and it worked as shagnasty Sturgeon lost some support for independence.

Worldwide, people adored the Queen. What other Briton will achieve the same?

Maybe it's not all that surprising; the moon landing happened in the middle of the night here.

It's very high for these days though. Coronation Street could get around 20 millions viewers then. Different times.

I expect lots of folk watched the funeral on their iphones, something which always amuses me to see people staring into tiny little glass screens, the same folk who no doubt will have the latest 65" HDTV at home.

When Churchills state funeral was televised my mum went to a neighbours to watch it as back then not everyone had a telly. Same with phones. When a GPO van parked up in our street i'd sit enviously watching to see which neighbour was having a telephone fitted!

Yes you're probably right. It was Armstrong climbing down the ladder that didn't happen until 4 am.
