After yesterday’s world record ODI score form England’s men, the women scored the highest ever T20 total today, 250/3. Quite a 24 hours for the England batting sides! Well done ladies!

Josh Taylor was magnificent and Postal is sheer class.

The scorecards were a joke but Josh won by three or four rounds.

Skill, footwork, power, speed, chin, stamina.

The complete package.

He will now challenge for a world title in only his 14th fight - and he will win.

England whitewash the Aussies 5-0 in the ODI series. India up next, that should be a cracker, the two best ODI teams in the world at the moment. Jos Buttler was phenomenal again for his century, he’s on fire at the moment.

Hamilton won the Grand Prix too today. With England winning the footy so convincingly, it’s been a good day to be an England sports fan...

The undefeated Cruiserweight monsters Usyk and Gassiev will face each other for the undisputed title in Moscow tomorrow.

It will be the fight of the year with Usyk having the edge in skill, Gassiev in power, they look to me like the best at the weight since Holyfield ruled (before he went up to heavy).

Both have titanium bomb-proof chins so no one is getting knocked out either - it will be a war and is 'pick em' for me.

Russia is certainly putting itself on the sporting map this year.

So much for a war - Usyk put on a technical masterclass and made a very special fighter look bloody ordinary. :thud:

If the undisputed champ decided to move up to heavyweight then Joshua, Wilder etc would have to watch out.

He could do what Holyfield did.

They may be massive but can they get anywhere near enough to hit him?

He is like a Cruiser version of Lomachenko!

I always remember my Grandad (RIP) telling me a as child that when/if the Iron Curtain fell that the athletes from those countries would take over the boxing world.

He was spot on.

More recently there were screaming headlines saying he'd staged a ''miraculous recovery'' against all odds in the German grand prix.
He started last (or near the last) and ended up beating vettel his perennial archrival, in front of vettel's home crowd.

The big irony is that vettel beat him at silverstone in front of his own home crowd in the previous race.
It was one of hamilton's rare silverstone defeats.
Weird how they both did things back to front.

That's my take on the events anyway. Hope my memory is reasonable accurate here.
