Steve Smith is such a great batsman, so difficult to get out. Finally got him after scoring 280 plus runs in the first test. Having them 112/8 in the first innings to being 350 behind is criminal. Why we took the chance on Anderson who was carrying a knock (and has only blowed 4 overs) when we had Archer fully fit is mind boggling. Looks like it’s going to cost us dearly, unless we can bat tomorrow out for the draw...

Agreed, but hats off to the Aussies

You can’t knock their tenacity and fighting spirit. Fair play to them, they are such a tough team...

There is no doubting that and I do think England have made some awful mistakes but it is early days.

Some bloke called English, who is Irish, did great in the 800M
