This cat "Kidnapped" an entire litter of puppies.

It seems the puppies mum wasn't taking care of the pups and the cat had recently had a litter of kittens which had died.

So the cat was able to nurse the pups and went and collected them one at a time and started looking after them.

The three bears who arrived in Scotland in November have been meeting the public for the first time.

Brumm, Maja and Brumma arrived at Dundee's Camperdown Wildlife Centre from Kolmarden Zoo in Sweden as playmates for Star who is already at the centre.

Sadly Star's pal Comet died in August last year and it was decided she could do with some new furry companions.

Morning Vam. :Hiya:

Not so long ago in the Ice Age Black bears were quite low on the food chain (to massive carnivores like the Giant Short Faced Bear, American Lions, Smilodon etc) so they are still very timid as big wild predators go.

Luckily for them (and unfortunately for the ecosystem) as soon as man arrived we wiped all of the above out.

It must be a good book if you stayed in on Hogmanay to read it Madders.

Why was it amateur night?

What's the main night for you to have a swally.

Good News!!

Image

Gobi has arrived in Scotland!!

I've mentioned Gobi a few times in the dog thread in the Snug.

Gobi was a wee stray who joined an Ultra-Marathon runner in China in June and ran across the Gobi Desert with him.

When it was time for Leon Leonard to return to Scotland he didn't want to leave his new pal behind and started a campaign to raise the £5000 needed to bring her from China to Edinburgh.

£38,000 was raised (The other money will help other stray dogs)

So finally after her time in quarantine, she has arrived to start her new life here.

Why didn't prehistoric man wipe out the black bear instead?
