I don't know if anyone heard the story of the 2 parrots who were caught up in Hurricane Irma?

They were captured on camera sitting on a windowsill on the 22nd floor of a hotel in Miami. The poor little mites were desperately trying to seek shelter from the hurricane.

A lot of people (including me) reading the story were very concerned about them and just wanted that window to be opened to let them in.

Well, it turns out, the parrots - who are called Pedro and Paco are well known to hotel staff. So, they lured the parrots onto the hotel roof using food as bait and took them into the hotel office.
A happy ending for these gorgeous parrots after all. :wubwub:

Here's the original pic that touched hearts....

I mentioned the story of Patrick the dog, a while back in the Snug.

However i was reading about him this morning and i thought i would mention him again.

As you can see..

Patrick looks as though he's been starved to death, but amazingly he's still alive.

If ever there was a miracle it was surely Patrick and the way he fought back to full health.

Look at him now.

A man from my town has gone on trial accused of a hate crime after he taught his girlfriend's pug to make Nazi salutes.

The way things are going, it's a wonder the dog isn't in the dock as well.

Slappable face on that guy! And what's that crap on his ears all about?

Poor little Buddha's not to blame for having those two imbeciles as his owners. He probably only 'salutes' to get treats, bless him :gigglesnshit:

Those stupid earrings and all those horrible tattoos.

His girlfriend said he hasn't been able to get a job since he made the video, I think its more about the way he looks that's the problem

Anytime I'm eating something Jack's paws are all over the place, trying to get share of it.

I can't understand why some people don't like dogs, Holls.

They're the most loving and loyal of animals and are great companions.
