I know Hurricane Harvey is battering Texas, but how can anyone do that?

Can you imagine leaving your dog behind tied to a tree, while you and your family leave your home in a bid to stay safe?

Yes i can just see me saying "Jack you'll drown soon, but never mind"

That's beyond believe. What kind of vile "human" can leave that poor creature tied up to die a cruel death? How easy would it have been to at least untie him so he can save himself? What was that dog doing outside tied to the tree in the first place in all that heavy rain? Rotten to the core bastards.

I can't believe any dog owner would leave their dog like that Holls, tied up and waiting to drown

Just sitting there and watching as the water got higher and higher.

Thankfully that dog was rescued, but how many more are being abandoned like that?

Scumbags.

Oh jeez...look at the piteous expression on its face! Yet more proof, if any were needed, of what utter shits humans can be :shake head:

Maybe, when the worst of this disaster is over, the owners of any abandoned dogs that are microchipped can be traced and prosecuted. I hope so.

...on a more positive note, I've been watching many of the people being rescued amid that swirling deluge of water, holding on very tightly to their children - and their pets!

The Police Chief has said he's going to come down hard on people who've abandoned their pets Vam.

I hope he does.

This is about a cowboy in Texas, rescuing some horses that were in danger of drowning because of Hurricane Harvey.

I saw a lovely photo of a man and a young woman in a boat in the floods (might have been father and daughter) holding their dog close and cuddling the cat in a blanket

I wish I'd saved it
