The only exception should be if new evidence is discovered that proves they didn't do it.

However people who kill on video where there is absolute proof, such as the murderers of Lee Rigby, should be hanged until dead, as should all terrorist murderers.

Killing people does not work either as punishment or a deterrent, if you use it as revenge then are as bad as the offenders themselves, a whole life tariff is a totally appropriate sentence for the filth that killed Lee Rigby, execution of his murderers would have created many new followers of the far right ISIS cult.

As for ODC murderers, it's mainly a row that got out of hand and left some pissed and confused wife/former friend/family member/fellow druggie of the recently deceased standing in a pool of blood, waiting for the sirens to get louder. I guess you are locked up for eleven years or so and integrated back into society because you are sure as shit, never going to lose your rag ever again; not because you're worried about prison but because you fucking killed someone and all that goes with it.

You're on a whole life tariff anyway, your remaining sentence is served in the community. You will never pass a CRB check and will always need to declare your conviction when applying for a job and you can be returned to prison on heresay or suspicion.

I think that executing proven murderers would tend to put a stop to repeat offending Stooo.
